JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a detail oriented, assertive and knowledgeable Director of Finance to join our management team. This team member will play a critical role in managing, analyzing and improving our organization’s financial performance, and performing our accounting functions. This role will aid Sweet Nothings in tracking current financials, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.
Financial Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee preparation of financial statements, accounts receivables/payable, and maintain cash controls

Manage transition from third party accounting/CFO firm to in-house, and handle all aspects of accounting for the organization

Assist with the preparation of monthly budgets, forecasts and allocation models in accordance with financial closing calendar timelines

Help company achieve financial objectives by co-preparing an annual budget with the CEO, updating forecasts, reporting monthly progress of actual vs. budgeted across organization

Assist with audit preparation as needed

Compile and retrieve data for analyses and develop data management strategies

Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes

Prepare and file annual tax returns or prepare financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns
Job Requirements:

BS or MS in Finance/Accounting or related field
-
5+ years experience in food/CPG and 5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
-
Exceptional planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and strong quantitative and statistical modeling skills

Outstanding technology skills, including strong proficiency in Quickbooks Online, SOS Inventory, Bill.com and Gusto

Comfort working in a productive environment as a hands-on team player who can also operate independently

Experience with cap tables, option grants, ESOPs, etc.

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

Highly organized, high level of attention to detail, good communicator

Self-starter who is comfortable working remote
