We are seeking a team member to manage current accounts while growing the business in the natural, specialty, conventional and mass market sectors in the Western USA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of conventional grocery and natural channels sales
- Develop, manage and support a broker network
- Develop, manage and support a distributor network
- Maintain and build key customer relationships
- Provide feedback on the competitive environment and market trends
- Manage sales and marketing spend per account; deductions
- Meet financial objectives through forecasting, budgeting, scheduling marketing spend, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
- Maintain customer service standards, assist in resolving customer issues
- Provide support at customer and national trade shows
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5-year experience as a regional or national sales leader in the food industry
- Proven success in developing sales in the grocery, natural and conventional channels. Experience with mail order and mass market a plus.
- Strong current relationships at key retailers and distributors. Prior broker management experience
- Working knowledge of third- party data
- Ability to work as a team member and participate in an environment where culture and philanthropy are part of the company’s DNA
- Proven sales track record in opening new opportunities
- Experience in the produce sector a plus
- Excellent skills in listening, presentations, communication, negotiation, analyzing data, customer service, sales & organization
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
