We are looking for a US Business Development and Advisory Manager to join our dynamic and committed team, who will hit the ground running.

Job Purpose:

  • Business development, sales and marketing: lead on income generation through Stronger Together’s fee-for training and services through strategic lead generation and outreach, and identifying and growing new, and nurturing existing, relationships, partnerships and initiatives to scale the uptake of Stronger Together’s business offerings.
  • To manage client relationships and projects from enquiry to completion including proposal development and delivery of high-quality services.
  • Delivery of training and advisory services: To provide expertise to support businesses to embed responsible recruitment and fair work in their operations and supply chains.
  • To manage key stakeholder relationships representing Stronger Together and our objectives, ensuring work is completed on-time, meeting program targets and in line with our organization objectives and guidelines. To build on the many opportunities to further our work and increase our impact in the US.
  • To work closely with the US-based team, the Business Development team, and other colleagues as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Business Development and Management – To map, maintain, initiate new and grow successful relationships with businesses primarily in the US, but potentially across North America to increase the uptake, engagement in and delivery of fee-for-services. Tracks and manages the US funding pipeline. To manage client relationships. To identify speaking opportunities and deliver presentations. To build on opportunities to further Stronger Together’s work in the US (and North America) and secure income.

2. Partnerships Development and Management – To identify, grow and lead successful relationships with existing and new stakeholders and partner organizations to deepen the organizations network and to successfully meet the program’s deliverables, targets and intended outcomes and further S2G’s work outside of the grant funded program. To successfully lead, manage and actively participate in relevant steering/working group meetings/calls.

3. Training and Business Services Management and Delivery – To identify opportunities, deliver face to face and online presentations, and to draft proposals for bespoke support, tenders and agreements. To deliver high-quality services including speaking engagements, training and bespoke support for businesses providing expertise on mitigating labor exploitation risks and embedding responsible recruitment and fair work. To efficiently project manage each assignment, working closely with US-based colleagues and Business Development team and other team members where applicable, and ensure excellent quality and cost-effective service. To research and develop new services. To recruit and manage consultants and service providers in the delivery of S2G services when required.

4. Strategy – To lead on the development and delivery of a long-term business development strategy to support sustainability including income streams and financial targets with support from senior leadership.

5. Communication – To be the first port of call for enquiries from US businesses and organisations about training and bespoke support. To contribute to the communications and marketing strategy and content to ensure Stronger Together’s training, services, programmes, tools and guidance are promoted effectively, regularly and are reaching the right audience. To deliver product and resources demonstrations and webinars. To contribute to funder reporting and the drafting of grant proposals.

6. Project Management – To project manage all bespoke support requests and assignments, including the management and delivery of projects from start to finish (proposal; project plan; delivery; admin and finance management; reports), and to use a CRM system to manage and log the above. To manage the establishment and implementation of new working groups and programs to meet the agreed objectives. To contribute to the project plan, budget and reporting framework. To contribute to the program’s M&E ensuring data is recorded timely and accurately.

7. Representation – To professionally present, represent and advance the position of the Stronger Together at various stakeholder meetings and events.

8. To deliver excellent customer service to members and others and undertake assorted tasks as arise from time to time and other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required.
