What You’ll Be Working On 

The Technical Support Manager is a key engineering team member within our customer-facing organization. The main priority for this role is the technical customer support for our coffee machines in the field. Ideally, this person is experienced in hardware and software and will be capable of supporting our engineering team with quality control and debugging. When issues arise in coffee machine operation, the Support Engineer will be the key party to analyze the issue and report back to the Engineering and Manufacturing teams and then remedy the issue to get the unit back up and running. This person will be the first hire for the support team, building out and managing a group of field service technicians. 

This role will be based in the company’s warehouse, located in Belmont, CA (but you won’t have to be on site every day). 

You are:

  • Technically savvy and a master debugger. You’ll be working cross-functionally with all engineering and product teams to prioritize bugs, conduct root cause analysis, design preventative maintenance procedures, and contribute to reliability testing specifications.
  • Hands-on and available for customer installations and delivery. You’ll be involved with inventory management, unit assembly & testing, product inspection, and delivering/servicing products at various locations. (You will need a clean driving record and an active driver’s license.)
  • Our field support champion! You’ll help coordinate repairs, and identify & resolve both hardware and software issues.
  • A team player that’s focused on creating an above & beyond customer experience. You’re an effective communicator that will be highly available to customers during business hours, and comfortable managing a growing team.
