Job Description
We eat the meats we do not because they are the tastiest, but because they are the easiest to industrialize. There is an inverse relationship between industrializing animals for meat processing and how delicious your steak, lamb chop, or ham is. Like humans, animals are what they eat—so the ones who graze freely in nature beget better flavors. We are experts at recreating wild and heritage flavors using plant-based sources. As our first product, plant-based lamb, becomes available in more and more restaurants, we are looking to streamline our manufacturing and operations processes, and that’s where Ewe (yes, you) come in. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to help manage our supply chain and take our operations to the next level. The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, and attentive to details, and have 2-5 years of experience in operations and supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- Demand forecasting and manufacturing planning
- Ordering ingredients when they hit low inventories
- Monitoring logistics to make sure they run smoothly
- Ensuring deliveries to our co-packer
- Managing inventories at our co-packer and R&D facility
- Organizing deliveries of finished products from our co-packer to our R&D facility
- Organizing deliveries of finished products from our warehouse to customers and distributors
- Invoicing customers
- Arranging freight pickups and other incoming shipments
- Resolving issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
- Working experience of relevant software (i.e., Fiddle, Quickbooks, Google Drive)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Attention to detail
- Creative problem-solving
