Bright People Foods is a fun, fast-past, and dynamic company centered around changing the nature of food in the US. We’re looking for an energetic, media-savvy candidate who loves food to be our Social Media & Marketing Manager for the Mike’s Mighty Good and Dr. McDougall’s Right Foods brand. This person will work out of our Woodland, CA office and will report to the Chief Marketing Officer, with whom they will work closely. This position will be directly responsible for telling our brands’ stories and building brand awareness and community across the US market.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage vastly different marketing campaigns for different brands in our portfolio simultaneously
- Develop and execute strategy for rapid growth across social accounts
- Head marketing efforts to drive brand awareness through creative campaigns
- Write and design communications material through digital and print media
- Plan, shoot, and edit photos and videos for all Bright People Foods brands on a weekly basis
- Maintain and schedule content across social media accounts for our brands
- Develop and cook custom recipes in office for sharing across our websites and social accounts
- Engage with bloggers, influencers, and consumers to grow our social following and build our community
- Answer customer questions and respond to customer comments across accounts
- Travel to represent our brands at trade shows across the US
- Budget and coordinate in-store demos and marketing events
- Create custom branded newsletters
- Build and maintain company newsletter lists
Requirements
- At least some college
- At least 1-2 years of experience in branded social media content creation for company or personal blog
- Interest in and passion for food and food culture
- At least 1-2 years of Business-to-Consumer marketing experience
- Experience growing a large social media following from scratch
- Proficiency in photography, lighting, video editing
- Ability to manage marketing of two very different brand identities simultaneously
- Experience in recipe developing and strong comfort in cooking
- Ability to develop and taste recipes for all food types without restriction
- InDesign, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Audition, iMovie, or other content-editing applications
- Excel, Word, Powerpoint proficiency
