About the role:
Online groceries is a relatively new opportunity space without established patterns for how to best to serve customers shopping weekly for a large basket size. This is an opportunity to apply your strong product skills to creating new ways to help our customers feed themselves and their families with pleasure and with ease.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will have accountability for creating the product roadmap for all of Good Eggs’ customer-facing applications and sites, including our main website, content creation and distribution platforms, and mobile platforms. You will work directly with our executive team to define and refine vision and strategy, as well as with our engineering teams to ensure it is delivered. You will be personally responsible for orchestrating a cross-disciplinary team comprised of engineering, data science, and designers, so strong organization and communication skills are a must.
You should be adapted to a fast paced environment, comfortable creating structure out of ambiguous problems, possess excellent communication skills, and able to manage experiments, analyze data, and quickly iterate on your product vision. You should also be able to:
- Ensure your team understands current strategic and team-level goals, your progress against goals and how any given project contributes.
Collaborate with your cross-functional team and other stakeholders (Design, Operations, and Marketing) to define a product roadmap that supports our larger strategic goals.
Guide your team in the development of project requirements, plans and timelines, and in weekly story writing, estimation and prioritization.
Support your team with prioritization and decision-making throughout the planning, design and development cycles.
Develop a deep understanding of the needs of our customers and advocate relentlessly for a better and better shopping experience on their behalf through market research, analysis, A/B tests, participation in user testing, etc.
The ideal candidate has:
4+ years of e-commerce or consumer product management experience, including in-depth knowledge of best practices and techniques to increase conversion
Experience working on customer acquisition and growth
- Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with analyzing large datasets and user experiment design
Experience managing teams using user-focused design processes and agile engineering practices
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
You get bonus points for:
Experience managing full-lifecycle mobile application development (iOS or Android), or full-stack software development
- Experience working on personalization, search, and product discovery in an online retail or eCommerce environment
Knowledge of SQL and analytics tooks
People management experience in a multidisciplinary environment (either product or technology focused)
