The Food Corridor is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer to help drive innovation in the local food system. We are a small team with existing customers that love us.
Responsibilities

You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure and/or business. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, solid design, and quality of code is essential. Balance of new dev and maintenance.

You will help us improve our backend infrastructure and implement new features.

You will help ensure that our software is well-documented and has great test coverage.

You should be confident in making decisions about infrastructure and architecture.

You will help mentor, review code, and provide feedback to other members of the team.

You are smart, humble, and enjoy facing challenge as much as celebrating success.

You enjoy occasionally connecting with customers to help identify features and solve their challenges.

You are willing to have on-call responsibilities.
Skills & Experience
About you:
This is a self-starter position that requires multifaceted engineering skills where you will contribute to all parts of the application lifecycle. You may be writing SQL queries one hour, and deploying code the next. The next day, you might be writing jquery and CSS, optimizing database queries, and writing rails controllers and tests. Using customer-centric development, you will occasionally work directly with our amazing customers to support them and with other team members to map out future product directions. We want you working closely with the team to identify technical opportunities and help execute in an objective, driven culture.

You are interested in having an impact in local food systems

You are willing to attend morning standups (digital) and occasionally be in Fort Collins, CO for face-to-face team meetings and strategy sessions

You thrive in and embrace a startup environment

You have 3+ years of experience integrating high volume rails applications that interface with third-party provider APIs (Stripe, Quickbooks, Intercom, AWS, etc)

You understand and communicate technical tradeoffs and how they impact immediate and future business outcomes

Customers enjoy connecting with you (for tier 2 support, e.g.)
