The Role

The Sales Operations Analyst will support sales leadership in all aspects of sales. You will have your hand on the pulse of the business, and build relationships with our customers. You will be responsible for owning and interpreting multiple streams of internal and external data to assess historical performance, and develop detailed forward-looking sales forecasts. In addition to sales analytics, you will also play an active role in a wide variety of sales activities ranging from prospecting and winning new accounts to account management. You will get creative with ways to grow our topline revenue, and have the opportunity to work directly with distributor partners, retailers, and consumers.

The Ideal Candidate

You’re a data nerd – the stars align and the angels sing when you build that perfect formula in Excel. You also think big-picture, with the ability to translate data into ready-to-implement sales strategies to share with the team. You like life spiced up with some variety and are ready to pitch in where help is needed, whether it’s cold-calling retailers or running to the post office. But nothing irks you more than work for work’s sake – you align your actions towards sales goals and the company vision.

You’re deeply passionate about better-for-you food, the Three Trees brand, and our mission. The startup environment is where you thrive; you can run with something from beginning to end. You’re quick to ask for help – the team is in this together!

You’re a people-person with awesome interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills, and are comfortable representing our Brand and able to build relationships with distributor and retailer partners. You’ve got street-smarts and know how to improvise and ask the right questions. Large volumes of data don’t intimidate you, and you pay attention to the details.


  • Sales Analytics: maintain large data sets and assist in tracking, measuring, and reporting of key business indicators across performance dashboards for different retailers
  • Forecasting: work with sales leadership to build and maintain a dynamic sales forecasting tool that drives production planning and budgeting decisions
  • New Business Prospecting and Outreach: Identify areas of opportunity for growing distribution and driving new sales; optimize outreach approach for new accounts 
  • Customer Relationship and Account Management: create quarterly retailer business review materials and presentations, conduct ROI analysis on marketing and promotional initiatives 
  • Strategic Sales Planning, Promotional Plan Development and Execution: help set and manage sales budget and promotional plan across retailers
  • Sales Support: coordinate shipment of samples and sales collateral, process turnovers and distributor requests, and planning and executing trade shows


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with data software is a plus (e.g., Microsoft Access, SPINS database, Retailer and Distributor sales portals)
  • Occasional travel (when safe to do so)
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Rooted in the forest

“My grandmother would take me hiking in Taiwan’s mountain forests when I was little – we gathered leaves, seeds, and roots to take back to the kitchen. There she brewed soothing teas and told me about the health benefits of this leaf or that seed. I marveled at how the forest held such flavorful and nutritious things. This is where my love for nourishing, plant-based foods began. 

In Chinese, the character for 'forest' 森 is made of three of the characters for 'tree' 木. The vision of Three Trees is to cultivate a healthier world by making delicious and nourishing plant-based foods to help people make thoughtful everyday choices.”

Organic growth 

It’s 2013 and Three Trees’ fresh organic nutmilks debuted at farmer's markets and pop-ups. Local natural foods stores Rainbow Grocery and Bi-Rite in San Francisco recognized a truly good product and put Three Trees on shelves, even though it was a small brand. Today, Three Trees fresh organic nutmilks are stocked on shelves nationwide. Three Trees has grown organically, based on the quality of the product and word-of-mouth.

Our food philosophy is to eat whole, unprocessed, nourishing foods. So we only use the best quality ingredients, straight from nature – and make the most nourishing and delicious nut and seed milks.
