We’re currently looking for a talented and highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) that thrives in a mission-driven, complex, and competitive sales environment.

The SDR will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making many calls a day, creating awesome emails that prompt response, generating interest and excitement with our prospects, qualifying incoming leads, analyzing and mining Salesforce, and being tenacious about hitting–and exceeding–activity-based sales metrics to drive revenue.

 

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  2. Understand customer needs and requirements
  3. Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  4. Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  5. Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  6. Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  7. Perform effective online demos to prospects

 

Required Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of directly applicable inside sales/SDR experience
  • SaaS experience
  • Proven success meeting/exceeding quota objectives

 

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Experience selling smart on-premises equipment with embedded analytics, powered by cloud services
  • Experience successfully selling sustainability solutions
  • Experience working with or for a mission driven enterprise
  • Food Services industry experience a plus (but if you don’t have it, we can immerse you)

  11. Ability to empathize with our client organizations’ challenges and find creative solutions to accelerate their food waste reduction efforts
  12. Entrepreneurial, creative and have good general management/business acumen
  13. Independent self-starter capable of working with a remotely located supervisor, and with a strong commitment to teamwork
  14. Adept at communicating value propositions via phone, web-based presentations and in person

 

Compensation

Base salary dependent on experience with a sales incentive program focused on results. We pay 100% of the employee’s premium for health, dental and vision coverage (employee pays for spouse or family). We also have FSA and 401K options. We currently offer 20 days of PTO to start in addition to paid holidays. We offer a flexible work environment with a group of smart, committed, friendly and supportive colleagues.
