The Job
We are looking for the next Chicken Expert to join our sales team! The Sales Coordinator is responsible for top of the funnel sales activities to drive outside sales appointments. He/she will plan and attend 4+ trade shows a year, manage monthly call programs, update sales presentations & manage (and improve) all sales processes tied to CRM, sampling, meeting scheduling & marketing requests. She/he reports directly to the VP of Sales & Operations.
Successful Sales Coordinators are detail-oriented, masters of scheduling & awesome project managers. He/she is or is excited to become a Salesforce/CRM wizard & isn’t shy about corralling the team to do the same.
What you will do all day
As the owner of all top funnel sales activities you will be responsible for:
- Microsoft CRM
- Building and running reports in CRM (using dashboards & exporting lists to excel with further manipulation)
- Assisting the VP of Sales & President with logging sales activities in CRM
- Prospect Outreach
- Responsible for call & email follow-up to direct mail programs facilitated by the marketing team
- Tradeshow Planning
- Coordination of show sign-up, internal orders & marketing requests tied to 4+ trade shows annually
- Outside sales support
- Updating sales presentations & printing/shipping materials for meetings
- Placing and following-up on sample requests
- Supporting sales leadership with ad hoc administrative tasks (occasional travel booking, accommodations, etc.)
- Travel
- You will be on the road, sometimes! About 4-6 times a year to help with trade shows & other sales activities
we’d like to see
- We are looking for teammates to play a key role in helping us deliver on our commitment to being the industry’s Chicken Experts. For this role we’d like to see:
- 5+ years experience
- College degree, MBA preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Experience in Microsoft CRM, Salesforce or any similar customer relationship software
- Foodservice experience is a plus
