You are comfortable building relationships with different stakeholders and are able to work with little guidance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with a multitude of stakeholders including corporate executives, startup founders, and other food system players

  • Serve as KitchenTown’s “research department” by staying up to date on the latest industry trends and new startup/product innovations

  • Maintain a comprehensive startup database with up to date startup information

  • Synthesize research findings into decks and presentations to tell startups stories and present industry insights/trends

  • Manage both scouting and accelerator programs on behalf of our clients

  • Streamline systems and processes to facilitate program growth and improve upon current product offerings

  • Engage with startups to evaluate potential fit for our partnership opportunities

  • Attend industry events to expand KitchenTown’s network and presence in the international food startup community

  • Work with Marketing Manager to build materials to attract startups and corporations to KitchenTown’s programs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-3 years of food industry experience

  • A background in food and agtech insights and trends is a plus

  • Client relationship/account management experience

  • Ability to form strategic partnerships and longterm relationships with a variety of stakeholders

  • Excellent presentation skills → you can build a compelling and attractive deck and articulate insights to our clients

  • Experience utilizing data and insights to tell stories and draw conclusions

  • Advanced computer skills (Google Suite, Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, Airtable, etc.)

  • Organizational wizard – ability to manage multiple projects at a time across different departments. You are detail-oriented.

  • Proactive communicator – ability to seek out answers and facilitate communications between stakeholders

  • Team player – you like working alone, but know that we are stronger together

This is a full-time, exempt role, on-site in San Mateo, CA. We are not able to provide relocation.

It is understood that the position will be remote at this time. Salary commensurate with experience.
