Overview
Ark Foods is seeking an Operations Manager to help corral, streamline, scale, and systematize our rapidly growing company operations. This job will touch everything from our supply chain, to logistics, finance, and product development. We are a startup going through a period of massive growth, so this job is as huge as you want it to be.
This is a roll-up-your-sleeves, creativity-meets-financial-analyst type of job. What’s the best way to track product inventory in real time from 1000 miles away? Should we create a new P&L for our Florida warehouse? Have all trucks been set up for this week’s shipments? How large of a plastic pepper tote bag order should we make, given production lead times from China, and average weekly sales fluctuations? What is associated inventory risk of a 100,000 unit minimum packaging run? Have all seeds for our upcoming planting been ordered, and all requisite parties informed?
The Operations Manager role is to make sure this all happens smoothly, in a way that can scale. Fast. It’s a creative job, and requires a wardrobe full of hats combined with a relentless attention to detail.
