The Challenge

Smallhold is in the process of a national scale-up,
producing more and more mushrooms in more and more places. The Operations team
is at the forefront of this expansion, project-managing concurrent build outs,
iterating on rapidly scaling processes and ensuring our farms and people have
everything they need to keep things running smoothly. The Operations Generalist
will do a little bit of everything, supporting multiple members of the team
with projects related (but not limited) to expansion, supply planning, data
analysis, packaging, documentation, food safety, logistics and more.

Qualifications

Here are some of the qualifications you should have or be
working towards when applying for this job:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in agriculture or the food industry
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel. Experience
    compiling, synthesizing and presenting data
  • Proven history of data-driven decision making
  • Exemplary project management and organizational skills, with excellent attention to
    detail
  • Clear, concise and confident communication skills on paper and in person
  • Action-oriented mindset. You are eager to get things done and affect change
  • Comfort with software and tech. Able to pick up and master new tools quickly.
    Familiarity with Notion, Asana, Monday, Smartsheet and similar tools is a
    plus
  • Experience with supply planning and forecasting a plus
  • Experience with freight and shipping logistics a plus
  • Grant and application writing experience a plus
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing environments. Startup experience is a
    plus
  • Passion for Smallhold’s mission and/or mushrooms
