We are a small, tight-knit team seeking a well-seasoned marketing professional to fill large shoes as an executive-level Marketing Manager who will spearhead Wünder Creamery’s online and offline marketing strategy from the ground up.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Managing the agency(‘s) hired to produce the tools needed to support the Brand Consumer marketing message. These will include creative, social media, POS, On and Off Premise activation, and traditional media.
+ Monitoring product distribution and consumer reactions through focus groups and market research, as need be and as budgets allow.
+ Oversee marketing programs, consumer and trade response, and fine-tuning of all consumer marketing activities.
+ Fully responsible for brand budgets, including Trade and Consumer.
+ Manage marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales, revenue and profit objectives of the organization.
+ Ensures that all Brand Ambassadors and Samplers are properly trained.
+ Ability to successfully lead, guide, direct and develop the marketing team.
+ Evaluate and recommend channel development programs.
+ Customize national platforms for local retail programming.
+ Builds local partnerships and leverages relationships in the field and at retail.
+ Manage distributors to ensure that all marketing activity is presented on a consistent basis to capture a share of mind and create buzz.
+ Align resources and priorities consistent with the business strategy.
+ Ensure effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives fall within designated budgets.
+ Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
Job Requirements:
+ Minimum of 3-5 years in Consumer Products Marketing with significant exposure to brand-building activities in a start-up environment.
+ Passion for food. Curiosity about food trends.
+ Exceptional skills in Marketing leadership and strategic thinking.
+ Self-motivation is a must! Ability to both think strategically and tactically; You can see the big picture for an early stage brand and willing to roll-up sleeves to take on everyday execution tasks that come with it.
+ Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
+ Solid understanding of the business planning process and the ability to build a bottoms-up plan is a requirement.
+ Well-versed in distributor and retail operations and of appropriate brand-building and local marketing tactics in order to achieve division profit plan as well as brand equity objectives.
+ Ability to work exceptionally well in a team environment.
+ Exemplary skills in data analysis, manipulation, experimentation, and hypothesis-based testing.
+ Most importantly, you are passionate about food!
+ Must be based in the New York metro area.
