The Position

Smallhold is looking for a detailed, creative and well-rounded marketer to help us expand the reach of our brand. You’ll be managing PR, making presentations, and reporting directly to the COO as the company grows across the country.

The Challenge

  • Manage and grow a team of field marketers + demo product

  • Research, schedule and budget events both in the NYC area and key areas of the USA, Asia and EU

  • Develop events materials and calendars

  • Write copy, including our monthly “Mushroom Digest” newsletter, website updates, and targeted campaign emails

  • Optimize mushroom portioning for marketing purposes, identify key prospects for collaboration

  • Assist sales in optimizing presentations – both PPT and physical demonstrations, if needed

  • Serve as liaison between sales and farming to make sure marketing goals are met and farm capacity remains unaffected throughout this process

  • Arrange or conduct product + produce photography onsite

  • Arrange and deliver produce for PR, design and photography purposes

  • Assist in strategic initiatives to align and project Smallhold’s brand in a relaxed but assertive way

  • Compile monthly and annual reports 

  • Manage SEO

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts preferred

  • Adobe, Salesforce

  • Experience in the food industry, plus if it’s in retail or wholesale produce sales

  • Experience with technology, agriculture a big plus
