Job Description

We are hiring a Marketing Coordinator to join our small, dynamic team. We are looking for ambitious people with significant drive who are eager to play an important role in taking The Better Fish® to the next level. This person will support the Marketing Director in the execution of marketing campaigns, content and asset production, social media engagement, and will oversee consumer happiness.

This candidate should have solid relevant work experience in multi-channel consumer marketing campaigns and will use this experience to improve every iteration of our marketing activities. To be successful in this role, you must be a strong communicator (in writing and speaking), a fast and smart worker, enjoy working collaboratively and cross-functionally, be able to handle multiple tasks/priorities, and have a high level of attention to detail. You should desire to go above and beyond to produce world-class marketing. Passions for sustainable seafood, consumer marketing, building community, and engaging with consumers are a plus. This is a great opportunity for someone who is early in their career and eager to take on more responsibility to contribute directly to the growth of an emerging rapidly growing national brand.

Responsibilities 

Marketing Campaigns. Execute marketing campaigns, brand building, retailer support, and consumer engagement. Campaigns will include a variety of approaches including (virtual) events, brand/influencer partnerships, social media engagement, online content, and more.

Content Creation. Coordinate the creation of brand marketing materials, educational collateral, photography, and video; Interact with our creative freelancers and collate content from and for internal teams as necessary.

Asset Management and Distribution. Maintain internal production calendars, content database, marketing contacts database, store locator, asset licensing agreements, and promotional material inventory.

Social Media. Maintain social media and digital communication channels, including email, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Reporting & Measurement. Continuously test and optimize our content and creative; Measure and report on ongoing campaign performance and analytics.

Market Research. Monitor customer engagement and social activity; Support consumer insights, competitive recon, and market research as required.

Branding. Maintain The Better Fish® brand through all marketing and advertising; Be the voice of the shopper throughout the organization. Continuously ideate and experiment with new ways to express our brand, reach new audiences, and shift perception in the industry.

Customer Happiness. Respond promptly and professionally to inbound questions and complaints via website and social channels.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience (minimum) in consumer marketing with proven expertise and first-hand knowledge of media and delivering creative brand/marketing campaigns. Experience at a digital agency on CPG accounts, food manufacturers or DTC company is preferable.
  • B.A. in marketing or communications is preferred but experience is what counts.
  • A compelling relationship builder, able to get things done through ample communication, collaborative teamwork and flexing of interpersonal skills both internally and externally.
  • Experience with producing clear and compelling email newsletters, blog posts, web content, and social media posts.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who is resourceful, dedicated, eager-to-learn, has a drive for results and meticulous attention to detail. Great follow-up is a must!
  • Interest and ability to be an ambassador and educator for the leading brand in the sustainable seafood category.
  • Digitally oriented and well-versed in using Microsoft Office and G Suite by Google.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
  • Obsessed with data analysis, research, A/B testing, and best practices.
  • Passion and curiosity about sustainability, sustainable (sea)food and CPG industry.
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, MailChimp, Unbounce, and Airtable is a plus.
