Role Summary: The Manager of Inventory Management/Demand Planning will be responsible for the execution of all functions related to inventory management and demand planning for the company.

 

Essential Functions of the Role: (the list below is not all inclusive and the company reserves the right to change with or without notice)

●      Own the customer experience from fulfillment and delivery through to post-order customer support

●      Present technology investments, strategic vendor partnerships, operational procedures and processes in support of company’s growth, product vision and customer needs to executive leadership, sales team and retailers

●      Manage the RFQ process, negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third party fulfillment and transportation providers

●      Conduct the implementation and daily management of all supply chain operations

●      Drive down the total cost of fulfillment through an effective distribution strategy, superior execution, exception reduction and through world-class customer service and support

●      Drive KPIs around on-time delivery, order fulfillment accuracy, inventory control, industry compliance and costing

●      Perform continual operational efficiency analysis to ensure appropriate strategies in support of company growth and sales objectives

●      Deliver cost-savings with exceptional negotiation skills and focus on quality, service levels, and efficiencies

●      Collaborate with internal (sales) and external partners to ensure exceptional forecasting and inventory management accuracy and efficiency

●      Ensure overall compliance with all government and industry regulations

●      Strategically assess talent needs; build, develop and lead a high-performing, collaborative Operations team that consistently acts in accordance with company values

 

Required Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

●      An entrepreneurial spirit and be successful in a fast-paced, agile, innovative and collaborative start-up environment

●      An excitement and passion in building a new brand while wearing many hats during launch and initial growth phases

●      A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferably in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Management; pet food supply chain experience is a plus

●      A minimum of 7 years of experience of consumer product goods operations management across supply chain, logistics and demand planning

●      A minimum of 4 years of direct team leadership as well as effective cross-functional management

●      Proven expertise with ERP Supply Chain systems (Demand planning, Inventory management, Logistics); sourcing, implementation and system usage

●      Proven experience in establishing systems, procedures and processes for an early stage company

●      Acute attention to detail, proficiency in Excel and exceptional “quick to respond”, problem-solving skills

●      Proven people leadership and experience building and leading a high-performing team

●      Exceptional prioritization, analytical, negotiation, communication and organizational skills

●      The ability to travel domestically (up to 20%) as business needs require

Physical Requirements:

●      Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

●      Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
