We are looking for a Lead Web UI Engineer who wants to join a dynamic, leading company in the space as a key team member. You must be a leader who is a creative problem solver, not just another cog in the system, who is able to take end-to-end ownership of web front end development for both customer facing interfaces and internal management tools. These interfaces will need to integrate with RESTful web services, JavaScript APIs and various other back-end systems. You will be responsible for hands-on design, development, maintenance and support, as well as recruiting and managing a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end ownership of web front end development for our suite of products
  • Hands-on design, development, maintenance and support
  • Recruiting other web front end developers
  • Managing a team

REQUIREMENTS

  1. 3 years – Advanced JavaScript and functional programming
  2. 3 years – Advanced CSS
  3. 3 years – HTML5 techniques
  4. Experience with iterative/test driven development, code refactoring and continuous integration
  5. Experience with at least one JavaScript UI framework such as Angular2 or React
  6. Experience with client side testing tools like Jest, Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Jasmine, etc.
  7. Knowledge of browser quirks and can develop/optimize across different browsers
  8. Passionate about learning new technologies and adapting to complex and fast moving environments
  9. SDLC Processes
  10. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  11. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  12. Passion for making a positive impact on the world!

 

EXTRAS

  • React.js
  • Flux architecture concepts and experience with Flux implementations like Alt, Redux, etc.
  • Modern/upcoming JavaScript language features found in ES6/7
  • CSS preprocessors like LESS, SASS
  • RESTful design concepts, design by contract, and JSON-pure APIs
  • Build tools such as Webpack, Browserify, and/or Gulp
  • Node.js, npm and related technologies
  • Git, JIRA and related technologies
