You’re going to be an integral part of the team bringing the next massive plant-based food brand to market. You’ll help new products come to life and will ensure the kitchen at our brand new HQ runs smoothly. Our product development team is constantly experimenting with and scaling new recipes, and you will ensure our team can innovate and create new formulas as quickly as possible. You will scale recipes, order ingredients, coordinate shipments of sales samples, organize the kitchen, and much more. This hands-on role perfectly matches your scrappiness, strong work ethic, attention to detail, experience in kitchens, and interest in improving your product development skills.   • You have internship or full-time experience working on a product development team for a food company and you excel in startup-like settings.  

  • You have worked in kitchens and thrive in back-of-house operations. You take downtime as an opportunity to learn new skills or tidy up the kitchen.

  • You are organized and always pay attention to details.

  • You thrive in ambiguous situations. You take ownership and create solutions to problems, before being asked.

What will you do? 

  • Scale recipes to expedite the process of testing new Eclipse formulas and flavors

  • Maintain ingredient and kitchen equipment inventory lists 

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of customer orders and sales samples

  • Assist team at trade shows and events with set-up / break-down and hand out delicious ice cream to happy people 

  • Jump in to keep the kitchen and dish pit clean and organized 

  • Learn from and work with some of the best food product developers in the world

  • And, of course, spin up the best plant-based ice cream out there and assist in sensory evaluations / shelf life studies (aka taste ice cream…for science!)

This is a full-time job, located in Oakland, CA, with a competitive compensation package.
