The Position
Smallhold is looking for an entrepreneurial, energetic, independent, and intrinsically-motivated HR Manager to help scale the company, grow and retain a team of world-class talent, and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of people and office management in the 2020s. The HR Manager will be responsible for all basic human resources needs, recruiting, training, and general office scheduling and management at the company.
Full Time, Salaried, with bonus and benefits

The Challenge
In this role, you will have these responsibilities:

Work with the executive team to build a world-class team, including recruiting, onboarding, and retainment.

Manage all general office needs and schedule, including but not limited to stocking office, scheduling contractors, ordering various office supplies, etc.

Work with the executive team to evaluate team structure and skills, organization design, talent gaps, and hiring plan to achieve business goals.

Help evolve Smallhold to the ever-changing work landscape in 2021 – We want to work in person (when it is safe) and want to have a team with a healthy balance between work from home and in-office

Prioritize a diverse and inclusive company culture through recruiting, training, policies, and conversation

Drive company culture through activities and programs across the organization, nationally

Oversee the management and administration of all onboarding, employee policies, and benefits

Vet, implement, and manage recruiting and HR platforms at the company.

Partner with the Legal team on compliance with federal, state, and local laws
The Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

3+ years of experience in a people operations or HR role at an early to mid-sized startup

Relevant degree or equivalent experience with proof of HR-related qualifications

Excellent communication and coaching skills
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
