You’re going to be one of the most significant people in bringing the next massive plant-based food brand to market. You’ll be instrumental in introducing Eclipse products to the market through bringing on new food service accounts, growing existing partnerships, bringing on our first distributors and brokers, and growing the sales team from scratch. This hands-on role perfectly matches your passion, scrappiness, drive, and deep understanding of everything food sales. Our team is growing rapidly, and you’re ready to help shape, build, and lead it!

Who are you?

  • You’re a seasoned food service sales pro (minimum 4+ years of experience) and have extensive existing relationships with sales accounts, distributors, and brokers.

  • You are comfortable working with a variety of food service accounts, from ice cream shops to fast casual restaurants to QSRs and more

  • You never walk by a potential food service account without checking to see if your food product is on the menu 

  • You have experience working with both distributor-based and direct-ship customers

  • You are high energy and incredibly passionate about your work. You care deeply about changing our food system and have the skills to make it happen.

  • You thrive in ambiguous situations. You take ownership and create solutions to problems.

  • You’re a great person, in and out of work. You are smart, proactive, trustworthy, kind, humble, organized and hard-working.  

  • You have excellent organizational, problem-solving, planning, and logistical skills.

What you’ll do

  • Work directly with our CEO to help build Eclipse’s sales strategy and sales plan

  • Own all aspects of the sales cycle: identifying key food service accounts, closing deals and signing on new accounts, and managing and growing existing accounts

  • Monitor sales in each of our accounts (using CRM tools) to assess the product’s position in the market and effectively forecast sales volumes for each distributor

  • Create and manage a network of distributors and brokers

  • Support field marketing events and local promotional activities to grow the Eclipse brand

  • Sell in new Eclipse products

  • Conduct market audits to assess the products’ position in the marketplace; monitor competitive activity and distributor effectiveness

  • Help build, shape, and lead Eclipse’s sales team.

This is a full-time job, located in Berkeley, CA, with a competitive compensation package.
