Job Summary
We are looking for a detail
oriented, assertive and knowledgeable Finance Manager to join our management
team. This team member will play a critical role in managing and improving our
organization’s financial performance, performing our accounting functions and
manage our office.  Duties for the Finance
Manager will include but not be limited to bookkeeping, manage accounting
records, evaluate and manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, publish
financial statements, review / analyze and provide insights on financial
performance, analyze financial data to determine margins, monitor expenditure, evaluate
sales department revenue forecasting, assist in cashflow planning, coordinate
audit processes, ensure accuracy of financial information, oversee business insurance and health
insurance processes, facilitate payroll processes, and manage relationships with our
financial and office vendors. Your financial insights and exceptional numerical
proficiency will aid our organization in maintaining financial growth,
formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls,
achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support
organizational strategy.

We’re looking for experience in:

QuickBooks Online (QBO)
functionality especially around reporting

·        
Ability to analyze financial data and suggest
tactics to increase profitability

·        
Internal controls

·        
Leading the budget processes

·        
Processing financial transactions

·        
Streamlining accounting functions integrated with
the Operations and Sales Departments

·        
Evaluating and managing risk

·        
Coordinate audit processes

·        
Payroll/W2/1099 processing

Additionally, we need a flexible candidate that is
comfortable in a changing business environment and is a critical thinker.

Key Centers of Excellence:

QuickBooks Online functionality

Be able to navigate through QuickBooks

Maintain Chart of Accounts plus Location and

Build and Execute Budget Process

Daily AP and AR review and execution

Create, facilitate, and then execute weekly
Cash Spend Plans

Track and reconcile

Risk Management

Manage insurance policies (appropriate
coverage, renewals, COIs)

Manage local, state and federal governments’
reporting requirements and tax filings

o    Manage
IT security

o    Evaluate
insurance brokers on an annual basis

Office Management

Maintain office supplies and services

o   
Facilitate maintenance and repair of building,
equipment, IT

Manage relationship with landlord and building
tenants

 

Summary of Qualifications:

·        
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent

·        
3 years experience in Finance Management

·        
Good communication skills

·        
Excellent interpersonal skills

·        
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals

·        
Auditing experience

·        
Compliance oriented

·        
Proficiency in accounting software, especially QBO
and Excel

·        
Analytical skills

Work Conditions

Seal the Seasons is a small, start-up company with 10
employees. The office is currently located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in a
1700 sq ft office. Our typical work week is Monday through Friday. This
position has their own office. The office is adjacent to our company’s
conference room. Parking is on-site. We have a flexible work hours policy and
allow staff to work from home when appropriate. All of our employees are
encouraged to voice their ideas or concerns.
