The Shenandoah Valley is amazing for its food and views, but this role can remote for the right candidate with a preference for a drivable distance from Harrisonburg, VA.  You will need to visit the office monthly at minimum and for key meetings.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in management and execution for all social media and digital marketing efforts for Farmer Focus – SVO’s mission-based and values-driven, organic meat brand. This position will support company growth, new customer acquisition, and brand expansion. The Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the existing Marketing and Sales teams to provide tools for success. Essential Functions Statement(s)

Social Media & Community Management

Manage company social media pages collaborating with agency partner.

Content creation and social media monitoring will be in collaboration with internal and external partners, as presence expands, responsibilities can shift from 100% creation and active monitoring to 100% agency direction and collaboration.

Proactively monitor and improve the company’s brand on social media and the internet.

Oversee any customer service provided via social media.

Analyze data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives.

Digital Campaign Coordination

Actively follow new and emerging platforms, content strategies, tactics, trends to recommend those appropriate for the brands ensuring we stay relevant.

Work with our agency and assist in executing plans for paid digital advertising.

Work with the sales team, onboard all customers for social & digital ad plans.

Analyze data to determine whether digital campaigns have achieved their objectives.

Partner Marketing

Collaborate with customers’ social media and digital marketing team members for co-marketing campaigns with other brand, influencers and traditional and online retailers.

Website Management

Lead redesign of website and implementation of Digital CPG best practices.

Utilize the existing CMS to Manage all appropriate content on the company’s website.

Miscellaneous

Be mindful of the brand’s Marketing budget. Compare quotes from various vendors/partners.

May require travel to company events and trade shows.

Perform other marketing-related tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Marketing or Communications, Business, or related field.

At least 1-2 years of Digital Marketing experience, preferably in the food industry or with a values-driven brand.

Strong project management skills. Experience managing an agency relationship, vendors.

Comfort with data analysis for budget, performance, and sales.

Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information in a clear, concise and consistent manner.

Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to set priorities in order to complete assignments in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.

Problem solving skills: ability to identify potential problems and proactively generate ideas for acceptable solutions.

Must possess: a sense of urgency, accountability, responsibility, ambition.

Positive, energetic, confident, professional and team-oriented attitude.

Other Requirements

Vision (Near, Color, Depth Perception) Must be able to pass color vision test.

Ability to 1 – 2 flights of stairs 2 – 6 times daily. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:   Work conducted primarily in an office environment but will be required to access the production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
