Mission

The mission for the Operations Manager is to own the operations practice of the Cup and Compass Business – from managing procurement and production scheduling through inventory management and order fulfillment. The Operations Manager will improve inventory prediction and management systems to reduce inventory costs while increasing on-time delivery rates for customers. In addition, the Operations Manager will support the core company value of driving business growth and quality by providing industry-leading customer service that exceeds customer expectations. The Operations Manager will contribute to the development of and drive toward key sustainability metrics.

Outcomes

  • Successfully schedule production runs to reduce out-of-stocks and achieve 95% on-time order delivery rate

    • Oversee procurement and production runs

    • Systemize procurement process to ensure 100% success rate at delivering materials before production runs

  • Implement Margin Reporting system to track real-time estimated gross margin within first 90 days

  • Develop and manage a production plan to reduce inventory carry by 20% within the first year

    • Create annual production plan and then update on a quarterly basis

  • Drive cost and time savings on Logistics and Shipping to reduce shipping costs by 10% within the first 180 days: 

    • Schedule freight options for incoming materials to reduce inbound freight costs by 5% YOY

    • Contract applicable vendors and review/shop contracts on an annual basis

  • Oversee Production scheduling and Vendor Management

    • Physically oversee production runs for first time products

    • Provide reporting on each production run to assess run success and inventory excess ingredients within 5 days of every run

    • Manage post-production inventories to maintain or improve storage costs, including assessing the economics of different storage options for each customer with the goal of achieving consolidated product storage wherever possible

    • Move inventory to appropriate location (i.e., customer or applicable C&C warehouse)

  • Deliver best-in-class account management through processing and fulfillment of customer orders

    • Respond to and schedule delivery of all incoming customer orders within 24 business hours of receipt

    • Receive customer orders and schedule them with the Pompay Group

    • Identify slow-moving items and product growth opportunities to drive 3-5% revenue growth with existing customers

    • Mark orders on the inventory tracker; book scheduled orders on the scorecard

  • Participate in weekly team leadership meeting and update key business metrics

    • Maintain accurate scorecards and KPIs for Operations, Gross Margin, and Inventory Depletion among others

Requirements

  • 4+ Years experience in an operations role (ideally in beverage or food)

  • 1-2 nights/month travel + 4-5 days local travel

  • Self-managed PTO and workplace accountability (flexible work from home and office requirements)


Compensation

  • Compensation $80-90k + Bonus

  • Company Healthcare Plan under development
