POSITION OVERVIEW:

As Chief of Staff at Omsom, you will play a critical role in our high-growth startup, working hand-in-hand with our co-founder/CEO to drive key decisions, strategy and execution across operations, marketing, product, distribution, and more. You’ll take ownership of some of Omsom’s most critical priorities, using your passion, creativity, and problem-solving skills every day.

This is a full-time role. Strong preference for candidates based in NYC, but we can be flexible for the right candidate.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Work directly with the CEO to drive strategic priorities across all areas of the business
    – you may touch everything from sales to supply chain to recruiting
  • Be the go-to strategic thought partner for Omsom’s leaders for key analyses and
    relevant external relations (e.g., fundraising, negotiating contract terms or evaluating
    prospective partnerships)
  • Jump into an array of dynamic projects – from strategic initiatives at the 10,000 foot
    level down to tactical day-to-day execution
  • Drive both strategic and tactical initiatives across the business that primarily
    encompass:
    • Strategy & initiative execution
      • Execute on key strategic initiatives related to growth / retention,
        improving efficiencies, etc. in collaboration with CEO + broader team
      • Drive key decisions and improvements to the business through
        data-driven insights, in areas like unit economics, customer acquisition,
        operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities
      • Proactively propose high-priority initiatives based on analytical findings
    • Finance
      • Be the go-to financial expert for Omsom’s leaders
      • Manage company-wide finances + budgeting in collaboration with CEO
      • Identify, establish, and manage relationships with third-party finance +
        accounting partners
      • Assist in investor relations and support executive team on potential
        future fundraising efforts
      • Identify and refine KPI metrics to target to monitor business
        performance and improvement
    • Operations
      • Support key operations including R&D, sourcing, procurement,
        manufacturing, logistics and fulfillment
      • Drive key initiatives optimizing COGS, fulfillment, and supply + demand
        planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years experience at a leading management consulting firm OR executing strategy /
    operations for a growing DTC and/or CPG company (startup experience strongly
    preferred) 
  • Strong analytical skill set with experience in a role involving data analysis, strategic
    thinking, and financial modeling 
  • Able to work both fast and right – you understand when things require precision and
    accuracy and when 80% gets you to the desired outcome 
  • Proactive, hard-working and resourceful in pushing progress forward and meeting
    accelerated timelines 
  • Highly organized + reliable, able to manage multiple projects at once across different
    areas of the business 
  • Strategic, confident communicator both verbal and written 
  • Strong collaborator, skilled at building trusting relationships, getting buy-in and
    advocating for Omsom’s needs and priorities 
  • Deeply understands + is passionate about Omsom’s mission, vision + values
