We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to develop and grow assigned segments and geographies by developing new client partnerships with leading food businesses. This includes prospecting, discovery, pilot program coordination, and business case development. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience selling enterprise solutions (ideally hardware/software within the foodservice and/or hospitality segment) to multinational enterprise customers. Experience in food services, navigating complex buying coalitions, developing territories and a strong entrepreneurial skill set is a must.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Territory planning and development
  2. Lead generation and development
  3. Research, establish and develop relationships with new prospects — build and maintain a healthy pipeline
  4. Qualify and nurture high-potential opportunities
  5. Negotiate and close complex multi-unit, multi-site contracts
  6. Manage buying processes with a broad coalition of stakeholders
  7. Develop vision, scope and business case for client programs, including the use of detailed growth models and performance assessments
  8. Develop mastery of Leanpath solutions and industry landscape, including site scoping to map capabilities to client goals
  9. Transition new customers to the Leanpath Operations and Customer Success Teams
  10. Collaborate with marketing on customer bespoke marketing initiatives
  11. Communicate value proposition via writing and presentations to large and small audiences

 

Required Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years proven success selling technology solutions to enterprise buyers
  • Proven success meeting/exceeding quota objectives
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in remote locations of fast-growing start-ups

 

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Competence in Salesforce.com
  • Experience selling hardware/equipment with embedded analytics, powered by cloud services
  • Experience successfully selling sustainability solutions to enterprise clients
  • Experience working with or for a mission-driven enterprise
  • Foodservice industry operations experience
  • Consulting experience a plus

Compensation

We offer a competitive base salary dependent on experience with a sales incentive program focused on results. We pay 100% of the employee’s premium for health, dental and vision coverage (employee pays for spouse or family). We currently offer 20 days of PTO to start in addition to paid holidays.
