There are more hungry people in New York than there are citizens of San Francisco. That’s not ok.
At Lemontree we show up every day at work and solve this problem. We’re a non-profit that sells family dinner.
We’re hiring a Community Manager
Lemontree exists to serve families with dignity. Your job is to connect with the
families we serve and create opportunities for them to shine.
On a typical day, you might find yourself:
- In Bushwick handing out fruit salad to moms and signing them up for our service in Spanish.
- Moderating a Facebook group where moms talk about their home cooking habits.
- Helping remote customer service agents communicate with customers in Lemontree’s voice.
- Coaching staff at a pre-school on strategies for signing up new parents.
You’ll be great at this if you’re outgoing, empathetic and well spoken. If
you’re scientific and measured in your work, we’ll get along like two
peas in a pod.
At Lemontree we care very little about your background or where you went to college (in fact, no one on the team has a degree).
Instead, we’re looking for an outgoing human who thrives at the front of the
crowd and loves connecting people. Ideally, you have experience leading
some sort of community, maybe you were a summer camp counselor, or a
teacher, or the president of a club.
Our customers come from diverse backgrounds. We’re 100% dedicated to
building an organization that reflects this. We strongly encourage women
and people of color to apply.
To apply: send an email to alex@lemontreefoods.org. Bonus points if you tell us what your favorite food is.
