Job Description
The ideal candidate is a Spanish speaker who is just as comfortable speaking English. You want to sell an innovative business service that truly moves the needle for local and national grocery stores now competing against the Amazon / Whole Foods combination.
You’re looking forward to spending 4-5 days per week selling directly to grocery store owners and managers (you’ll most likely be with the team on day 5). You can’t wait to find and meet new potential customers and introduce them to Shelfmint. You enjoy learning about their stores and their stories, and are proud to introduce them to our service which you authentically believe will help their operation to be more competitive. You think for yourself and handle the unexpected. You’re both obsessively prepared and trust your intuition. You’re most satisfied when you exceed your goals and really do enjoy being a shining part of a growing team. As part of this team, you understand that exceeding the customer’s expectations is what leads to long-term value and short-term success.
You probably have a degree in marketing, finance, communications, psychology or another field that has given you certain skills you know are useful to accomplish these goals. (We say ‘probably’ because we believe talent comes in many forms.) An understanding of nutrition and healthy food is a plus.

You have a good understanding of technology

You will be in the field, in the supermarkets, 4-5 days a week

You have experience cold calling and doing market research to prospect potential customers

You are interested in and knowledgeable about Organic, Specialty Gourmet Products

You have a willingness to learn about our products in order to sell them effectively

You have some Merchandising experience

You have some Marketing experience
- You are confident, happy and assertive
- You, preferably, speak Spanish

Compensation: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour (depending upon experience) + performance bonus
